• Economy; ( incentivising foreign investments, infrastructural development, curbing inflation, checking devaluation of rupee, making the economy export driven rather than import driven by mobilizing the manufacturing sector, etc).

• Internal Security; ( curbing divisive forces, naxalism, hate mongering, regionalism and divisions in the name of caste, creed, religion, setting up NCTC (National Counter Terrorism Centre) for better intelligence sharing, better training & equipping of state forces, checking refugee problem, making NE states feel part of the country, etc).

PERSONALITY ASSESSMENT: PRISMATIC APPROACH AT SSB

Leadership Qualities(OLQs) of a candidate are assessed using three various proven techniques at SSB viz; Psychometric tests,Interview and Group Testing Techniques. The personality traits of the candidates are assessed by 3 experts(Psychologist, Interviewing Officer and GroupTesting Officer)using these three techniques independently. 

On the culmination of these exercises, the pen pictures thus evolved,of each candidate are assimilated and compared to arrive at a consensus decision to clear/drop the candidate.Hence the process is more or less fool- proof,transparent and unbiased.
